Hypericum balearicum.
A small upright shrub with tiny glossy evergreen leaves with a pale green edge and most unusual 'warty' surfaces. It has faitly typical although minature versions of the Hypericum genus with a glossy deep golden coloured flower. Despite coming from the Spanish Balearic Isles it seems to be hardy to about -6 in the UK. It has grown for many years in the Aromatherapy Garden and probably experienced lows of -6c although it is in a sheltered spot. It grows best in full sun and in poor soils.
