Grevillea 'Bronze Rambler'

From the south eastern coastal area of Australia, this is one of the most exciting ground cover plants available in the UK. We have grown this plant for about 6 years in London now in several different gardens and never had any problems with hardiness. It is a vigorous grower and floriferous too. In 3 years one plant has covered about 1 sq meter and covers itself in pink flowers as you can see above. Bees love the flowers which are toothbrush shaped with all the stamens upswept, as they produce copious amounts of nectar and many insects like the plants dense mat of evergreen leaves that can get quite bushy, up to about 40cm.

A Colour Variation.

This is a slightly different colour of flower on the same species and variety of plant, although a different location in London. This species is hardy in the UK to about -8c because of its natural habitat in the hills above Canberra, where they frequently experience snow.

Bronze rambler is an extremely variable cultivar and we have one growing amongst Agaves which is no higher than 10cm above the ground, a true ground hugging creeper, with deep burgundy flowers....photo to follow.
